On March 17th 1994 Sr. Consilio and a group of eleven volunteers arrived at Coolarne House to take up residence and to set up what was to become the Cuan Mhuire of the West of Ireland. It consists of 20 Detoxification beds and 50 treatment beds. Each year there are approximately 480 admissions to the centre.
